Quick Look:
Coming to Verizon Wireless on Septmber 8th is the Samsung Rogue. This is the second installment of the Glyde, that was released on Verizon a while back. Now before you get worried, because your old Glyde didn't hold up to the hype you thought it would. The Rogue is running with Touchwiz 2.0! This makes the touch buttons very finger friendly and customizable widgets as seen on the Omnia. With a very sharp looking 3.1" touchscreen, EV-DO Rev. A support, and a 3.0 Mp camera this phone is sure to meet your needs and do much more. Overall this is going to be one of the hottest phones that Verizon is lauching this year. The price should be roughly around $199 for a new line and $249 for an upgrade.
Design:
The body of the Rogue is very slick and not big at all, so putting it in your pocket, purse, or gym bag isn't going to be a hassle carrying it around. It is a slider phone that is very quick to change from portrait to landscape when it is slide out. The full qwerty keyboard is very spacious so even those of us with bigger hands can still type away with ease. There is a speaker on the back that could of been a little bit louder then what it was already, but still gave great sound quality. Using the D-Pad while surfing will make things a lot easier for some, but others can still use their finger tips. I really love when phones have a dedicated speaker phone button and the Rogue has it as well! Makes it a lot easier when you are driving and on important phone call. Overall the design gives it a nice look so that your phone is what people will talk about.
Features:
The 3.0 Mp camera gave some pretty nice shots overall. It was able to handle brightness and adjust itself with ease. The Rogue is going to support Full HTML. This makes surfing the web look like you are just sitting on your computer at home, making facebook, myspace, and twitter a lot easier to do on the road. The menu styles and speed of the phone were really nice and smooth, I never really experienced any lag from anything. The Rogue will also have V-Casy support featuring: V-Cast TV, Music, VZ-Navigator, and more! This is going to be a very nice phone and I do recommend it.
